Register for TRANSVAC workshop on In vivo imaging of host response to vaccines and infections

Updated: Jul 31, 2019

TRANSVAC2 and the “Infectious Diseases Models for Innovative Therapies” (IDMIT) are pleased to invite you to a TRANSVAC workshop on “In vivo imaging of host response to vaccines and infections” on 29 March 2019 at the IDMIT research infrastructure at the CEA center of Fontenay-aux-Roses (France).

The workshop concentrates on latest advances in new technologies for imaging in living individuals.

  1. This workshop is aimed to present the following topics:

  2. Kinetics of vaccines distribution and persistence

  3. Pathogen penetration and dissemination

  4. Host response to vaccines and pathogens exposure

The workshop will be focused on implication of these approaches for preclinical research and translational medicine. International experts of diverse expertise on fluorescent based technologies as well as whole body Positron Emission Tomography–Computed Tomography (PET-CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologies will be invited to describe and comment the application of these tools for vaccine research and development.

Four thematic sessions will be offered:

  1. In vivo imaging of host response: Visualising host cells in living animals

  2. Dynamics of pathogen and vaccine antigen distribution and/or dissemination: Local interactions and micro-environment

  3. Whole body imaging of host/pathogen & antigen interactions

  4. Transfer to clinical investigation and practice

Roundtables will be held to discuss the needs and opportunities for imaging in vaccine development. See Final Program.

Registration is free and compulsory until 15 March 2019.

For more information, please contact Isabelle Mangeot (isabelle.mangeot@cea.fr)

Due to the fact that there are limited places available and participation will be on a “first come first served basis”, registration will close when maximum number of participants will be reached.

Sounds like a valuable workshop! For anyone attending and wanting to document their experience, I recommend convert WMV files online for free. It's user-friendly and great for editing and sharing videos of workshops and events like these. Perfect for capturing and sharing insights with fellow attendees!
