Who should apply?
Candidates working worldwide are eligible to apply, who are working in vaccine development research. Candidates must preferably already possess training in the area of vaccine research and development from an internationally recognised university or institution.

Important:

Please verify the location of the course and determine if you need a visa to attend. Ensure you can obtain it in time.​​

Scholarship Applicants: Make sure you can book your own travel and save all invoices. Travel and accommodation expenses for travel grant recipients will be reimbursed after attending the course, up to the specified maximum.

Non-Scholarship Applicants: If selected, you must pay the course fees before attending. Registration fees are detailed on each course description page.
How to apply?
Currently, three training modules are available for application. Please complete a separate application form for each course you're interested in. If you're applying for multiple courses, be sure to check the dates and locations to ensure your availability.
​​Applications may be submitted on or after the opening date, and must be successfully received by the TRANSVAC management team no later than the submission deadline (23:59 Central European Time - CET). If an application is not received by the deadline, it will not be acknowledged and therefore not reviewed.

All applications must be in English.
What happens after I apply?
An automatic email will confirm the receipt of your application and include a copy of your submission. Applications not acknowledged as received may have not been successfully transmitted. Applicants are solely responsible for ensuring that their applications are received and acknowledged before the deadline.

You will be informed via email of the expected decision date.
Fees
Applicants may apply for standard admission or for CEPI-funded scholarships.
Scholarships include waived registration fees and/or travel grants. Applicants that wish to be considered for Scholarships must work and reside in a Low- and Middle-Income Country (LMIC)- see OECD List.

Evaluation and Selection of Candidates
TRANSVAC Academy admissions and scholarship awards decision are made by EVI as the coordinator of TRANSVAC Academy, in consultation with the respective organisers of the course. Together, these entities will assess and grant admissions and scholarship awards at their sole discretion.
Participants will be selected according to their educational background, involvement in vaccine research and development as well as the expected impact of the course at personal and institutional level in the context of vaccine development i.e. how the training can be used in their daily work. Individual criteria for training modules are outlined in the description of the respective course. ​​
