ETH Zürich

ETHZ is one of the leading international universities for technology and the natural sciences. Founded in 1855, ETH Zürich has more than 18,000 students from more than 110 countries, including 3900 doctoral students. About 500 professors currently teach and conduct research in engineering, architecture, mathematics, natural sciences, system-oriented sciences, and management and social sciences.

Role in the TRANSVAC project

Dr. Mustafa Khammash heads the Control Theory and Systems Biology (CTSB) laboratory where he has developed advanced quantitative methods for the modelling, simulation, identification and analysis of biological networks. He has applied these methods to develop quantitative models and to provide systems-level understanding of biological systems. He is also engaged in the design, analysis, and synthesis of novel biological circuits. His methods, computational tools and software are used to guide and support the development of deterministic and stochastic systems biology models pursued in this project.
