Submission and Processing
Submission and Processing of the application
1.1. Application Materials
The application must be submitted using the Application Form for New Partners available for download from the TRANSVAC website.
1.2. Maximum Length of Applications
The responses submitted to this Call for Applications may not exceed the maximum number of pages indicated in the Application Form for New Partners. Any sections of the application exceeding the maximum number of pages will be disregarded.
1.3. Language
All applications must be written in English.
1.4. Transmittal of applications
Applicants must use the Application Form for New Partners available at (http://www.transvac.org) and send it electronically to transvacinfo [at] euvaccine [dot] eu. Any paper versions of applications will be rejected.
Receipt of your application will be acknowledged within 48 hours after receiving your application. Applications not acknowledged as received may have not been successfully transmitted and should be resubmitted. Under no circumstances will the Management Team accept responsibility for lost emails or consider applications received after the deadline. Applicants are totally responsible for ensuring that their applications are received and acknowledged within the deadline.
1.5. Submitting On-Time
Applications may be submitted on or after the opening date and must be successfully received by TRANSVAC no later than the submission deadline on the application due date (see 1.4). If an application is not received by the due date, it will not be reviewed.
1.6. Selection Criteria
Above all, TRANSVAC is looking for innovative high-potential proposals of service and scientific excellence. This will be the main criterion for ranking the applications.
1.7. Proposal Evaluation and Selection Process
Firstly, applications will be reviewed by the TRANSVAC Management Team to ensure that all meet the basic selection criteria (e.g. on-time submission, eligibility criteria, formal and administrative requirements). Should you have failed to meet the criteria defined in the call text, your proposal will be returned to you. It will not be evaluated further but may be resubmitted once corrected for consideration at a later date.
Secondly, the TRANSVAC SAC, which is composed of five independent external experts, will peer-review the dossier with regard to the services and scientific excellence. The SAC will then produce a report of their findings and issue recommendations (in the form of a ranking prepared by scoring) for consideration by the SC. The SC will then use the SAC’s report as an aid in making the necessary decisions. The SAC report is simply an advisory aid for the SC, and the selection of candidates lies with the SC and not the SAC.
The potential new partners that are fulfilling the eligibility criteria and that are selected by the TRANSVAC SC should be included in Annex I of the Grant Agreement as consortium member and should therefore have deliverables in order to be legal liable.
1.8. Notification on Results
All applicants will be notified via email of the results of their application upon completion of the selection process and will be invited to enter into consultation with TRANSVAC.
Unsuccessful applicants will be informed by email. No discussion will be entered into regarding the reasons for rejection and the TRANSVAC SC’s decision is final.
