The research component of TRANSVAC targets the improvement of the use of (molecular) assays and standardised reagents, adjuvants, animal models and vaccine and cell bank production specific to the development of experimental vaccines. Seven of the 15 project Work Packages in TRANSVAC are dedicated to research into these aspects of vaccine development:

WP4    Assay identification; Qualification/Validation and Regulatory guidance platform

WP6    Production of recombinant vaccine candidates
